Today I've exchanged the Radeon 7000 in my Peg2 against the old PCI-Voodoo3 from my A4000 and did some comparisons that might help you decide what kind'a card to buy:

    - the Radeon's picture is much sharper than the Voodoo's. Even on my TFT I can see the difference. The Radeon also has the better contrast, but its signal is a bit weaker. I don't exactly know if the lower sharpness of the Voodoo is due to it's age, but I remember that the Picture always looked a bit dull.

    - DVDs look better on the Voodoo. Better anti-aliasing and less artefacts.

    - Games are much more fun in 3D. :)

    - Quake2 in 640x480 on the Voodoo runs at 60 fps (demomap 1, OpenGL) compared to only 37 fps on the Radeon (Softrenderer) Quake2Max looks even more impressive. :)

    Kind regards

    Thanks for the report!

No, but I'll try that tomorrow.

Would be nice to have Ambient and other things on the Radeon and 3D-Games and DVDs on the Vooddo. :)

At 99% you can't use Voodoo PCI togheter with Rageon AGP! :-(

But you can use a Radeon PCI togheter with a Voodoo AGP, look at my thread here:
    https://morph.zone/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=1150&forum=11#8934

In every case do some tests with VoodooPCI + Radeon AGP and let us know if it works. Maybe with Peg II and the new revision of OpenFirmware things are positively changed..
