I plan to purchase a matro HD 160Go... the problem is that it seems HD
bigger than 120Go are not well supported, by every OS or even PC...

Does MOS support HD bigger than 120Go ?
The second problem is that this HD will be external (USB2+firewire) to
be used by both my PC and the pegasos... Will it support fat32
    partitions ?

    Thanks for your answeres :-)

    hi
usb harddrive with fat32 works fine here. remember to check the drive with mos after formatting and before using it!
also, keep in mind that a harddisk is damn slow with usb1.1!
transfer rates will not exceed 500kb/sec by far. so copying a cd image will take you about 20 minutes!

    kind regards

For sharing HDD between peg and pc better use ethernet and samba. My peg1 transfers 3,5mb/sec under emulation. With native samba+amitcp (when its ready arrrgh!) it should reach full 100mbit speed.

Thanx for your answeres, but I know about the slowness of the USB1.1
and I know how to share files with my PC, what I want now is to have a
mass storage for multimedia files (divx, mp3) on a big external HD.
I'm waiting for firewire support (till then, I will use the damn slow
    USB1.1 ;-)).

The real pb is to know if datas beyond 120Go will be corrupted or
    not...

    AFAIK

MOS supports up to Terrabyte HD size! This is according to the Core MOS team.
