I just went out and bought me a new mp3 player a Creative Zen stone (1GB).
It is being recognised but it won't mount ..NAK timeouterrors.
Had same issue with a Phillips Gogear mp3 player.
So guess it won't work with poseidon.
Should have known before as the box says XP or vista as requirement.
I can trade it for an other though a samsung YP-U3jzb
This says on the samsung site: windows2000/xp
Will I have more chance with this one?

Do you have the latest Poseidon update? Mass storage devices are far better supported than with the MOS 1.4.5 version.
Haven't tried myself that update since my iRiver IHP-120 works well with the MOs 1.4.5 Poseidon version. The Zen Stone I tried myself as well some days ago (gf bought a pink one), and didn't convined it to work (but I guess playing around with the settings might have heped, but my motivation was rather low).
You may ask on the Poseidon yahoo group for some unseful hints and advice.

Well I bought me the samsung mp3player.
I formatted it fat on the pc.
I tried it on my amiga4000 with latest poseidon.
There was a lot off tweaking needed but somehow I managed to get it going..it mounted as a real dos disk.
Just for one time it seemed but I didn't spend too much time tweaking it further.
I updated the poseidon with the aminet release.
Now peg2 it real slow on startup(hangs on morphoslogo) and when I want to acces the poseidon prefs window peg freezes.
Any idea's why it would freeze?
Old poseidon works ok with my setup.
    Is the aminet version old??

Found a newer update off poseidon on a backup disk.
Had to copy over the masstorage.class from my amiga4000 poseidon setup to get the mp3 player to work.
Only works on 1.1 usb not on my nec 2.0 usb port too bad (read/write errors) but it works!.
So the samsung YP-u2 1GB mp3 player works nicely with morphos.

Ι have MorphOS 1.4.5, Ambient 1.43, MUI 4 Beta and the last Poseidon 3.3, and I use my SanDisk Cruzer Titanium 1GB with no problems at all. Take notice that this stick has been formatted on a PC first.

There were/are some issues with Poseidon holding up the boot process when mass storage or other devices are attached to the Pegasos. Just unplug 'em during startup and it should boot right up. I haven't had it personally happen but my mass storage devices are all ancient ;-) so well supported. Also, when you d/l the latest Poseidon, you might have to use the prefs which came with MOS versus the new prefs, one update had that issue, dunno if it was fixed for the latest Poseidon update.

Good luck with it, I'm sure the Poseidon ML can help as well.
