    Hi

    My Pegasos2 just arrived after shipping 1000s of kilometres from the UK. It's in an Apevia X-QPack case from Vesalia.

    The PSU seems to have been damaged in transit. I need to find a replacement. I found this one (Japanese only, sorry). Is it OK ? When I look at the spec, it doesn't mention -5 Volts output; the original PSU had -5 V.

    Also, I checked the CPU fan and heatsink. The clips holding the heatsink on had broken. Big thanks to recent posters on MZ, I might have missed that.

    Finally, does anyone else have this case ? The LCD has never shown temperatures and I always thought this must be because the case is designed for PCs and the Peg didn't have an LCD driver on the motherboard but now I'm thinking that the driver is in the case and it was simply that the lead was never connected properly ?

    thanks in advance,

    Every ATX-PSU offers the same voltages on the mobo-connector, the
    power-ratings may differ, but that shouldn't be a problem with
    something low-power like a Peg.

    The LCD works by 2 temp-sensors (black cables with sensor at the end).
    One is labelled "CPU" the other "HDD". Place the "CPU" between colloer
    and CPU (it's isolated so no prob here), the other on the "cool" end
    of the cooler. There is also power-plug in the cable-pack coming from
    the front-panel, which needs to be plugged in into the PSU.

    Both numbers should stay about 8C apart, otherwise check your fan ;)

    Maybe your PSU is just "slightly" damages just like mine qpack psu.. sometimes i need to power it up by shorting the green & black cable on the mobo connector and it only happends when my peg has been unpowered for a while

    Yes, the mobo connector should be standard. Thanks for confirming about the LCD connector.

    @SMF

    Your PSU sounds dangerous to me! I wouldn't want to use your Peg. My PSU is definitely damaged - I unscrewed it from the case and there is an electrolytic capacitor rolling around inside.

    Why in the world would you guys play around with shady psu s with your valuable and exotic Pegasos hardware is beyond me. Do yourself a favour and invest in a good, well known brand psu.
