i have here peg1 and peg2 machines, but... i don't understand why there are that big (and strange) differencies between memtest results:

peg1:

write: 72 MB/s
verify: 179 MB/s

peg2:

write: 424 MB/s
verify: 214 MB/s

why is the writing on the peg1 that slow?
is it the difference between sdr100 and ddr266?

It could be, because Articia with SDRAM-100 is slower than the Marvell chip with DDR-RAM.

the difference seems to be very very big. But if you compare the feeled performance under MorphOs, the difference is very little.

Only under linux and MOL I really feel a difference between Peg1 G3 and Peg2-G4.

okay, thanks for explanation. strange, that the writing is 2.5x slower than read and compare, while on peg 2 it's twice that fast...
