Does anyone use such a cable with Pegasos and MOS? I have a spare 8 GB harddisk, so using such a cable I can have big portable storage for a few euros. The cable set has an external (plugged to 220V) power supply for the harddisk, so USB port is not loaded with power. Someone told me, HDD with adapter is not necessarily seen as masstorage.class unit, so there may be some problems with using it under MOS.

    Hi Krashan,

I got one of those adapters. Works pretty well with my NEC-based USB2 card as long as it is connected to an external hub. Sometimes Poseidon tells me that I unplugged the device after copying dozens or hundrets of MBs, but I then just replug the adaptor and go on. I get about 11 MB/s with my old 30 GB HD.

Poseidon has to be registered if you want to use USB2.0 cards. If you dont register transfer will be interrupted after very few MBs.
