Hi rigardie, first of all "analuse" in english is "resolution", and please
tell us whether the OpenFirmware screen appears correctly at boot
or not (it is the black screen with messages).

What happens if you boot from Morphos CD?
(enter the CD in the main CD/DVD reader of
your IDE chain to boot from it and type "boot"
    from the OpenFirmware prompt).

You can also try with any Linux Live CD/DVD
    (links and docs on www.ppczone.org).

    Ok, it can be:
    1. Graphics card problem
What is your graphics card? Radeon XXXX, Voodoo X, etc?

    2. Monitor problem
What is your monitor name exactly?

The standard screenmode in MorphOS is low resolution, so it should
work even with an old monitor.

What installer is this? Where does it say 1280x1024?

Do you have a MorphOS installation CD? Which version?

It should use maybe 640x400 or so.. I don't know of any MorphOS
installer that uses 1280x1024. Your monitor should work fine.

Does that graphics card work in your PCs?
Stop the boot process by pressing "Esc" key
and press "F9" key, this switches the OpenFirmware
console to an higher resolution, does this work?

My guess is that he is saying that the reseller preinstalled MorphOS and set the res to 1280x1024x60Hz. My guess is that this resolution is not supported by his old 15 inches monitor, so either he goes to the reseller and asks him to lower the resolution to 1024x768, or he lends a 17 inches monitor from a friend and lowers the resolution himself. There's a good chance that everything might work afterwards.

    Kind regards,
    Andrea

Yes, or maybe he bought a used Pegasos.

But in any case, he should have a MorphOS install CD.
