    Hi folks,

    I've just received a 19" Ilyama S900MT1 monitor.

    I have a Voodoo 3 graphics card and currently run in 1024 x 768.

    I am hoping to run at 1280 x 1024. Does anyone know if that's
    possible? I couldn't find the model of monitor in the list under 'Mode
    Edit', in System settings.

    cheers,
    Robert.

    check your monitor specs on the manufacturer's website and create your own custom monitor profile.

    @Soundsquare:

    Thanks.

    Specs are:
    Max. Res: 1600 x 1200
    h freq / V freq: 30-95 / 50-150

    I'll have a go.

    -EDIT-

    That did the trick and I now have ambient in 1280 x 1024 - lovely.

    Unfortunately, I can't seem to get Pro Station Audio to open at this
    resolution.

    Options only go up to 1024 x 768 and typing in 1280 by 1024 brings up
    a weird low resolution. :-?

    Hm, here I can get resolutions up to 1600 x 1200 and selecting them does work (though I don't recommend this as the Voodoo only has 16MB of RAM).

    I assume that you didn't create suitable screenmodes with ModeEdit in System Prefs - remember, that PSA is asking for 8bit modes.

    There is that bandwith setting too. I have no idea what it does, and even asking my monitor company didnt help. If you set it to 120 it will show more resolutions. Also be sure to use the VESA modes if you can and test before you save.

    @all:

    Thanks for the help.

    I now have PSA running at 1280 x 1024.

    @Acill:

    Where do I find the bandwith settings?

    I have used the VESA setting but have no idea what that means.

    Cheers,
    RObert.

    When you go to mode edit and select a monitor you will see it. You need to enter new for monitor and in its settings its near the bottom.
