Finally , after many wretching moments decided that if I invest in a Pegasos , as long as I just consider it "hobby or secondary" system I won't jepordize my sanity. There are too many uncertainies yet but I have faith that many bugs will be worked out .
    thank you.

I just bought my peg about 3 weeks ago and I love it. First amazement was how well built the mb was. What made me decide to buy was the fact of how little power the peg2 takes to run compared to a reg. pc and worse case scenario I had an awsome mb to run linux. Well now my only problem is uis im lovign running linux to much as well as morphos. =)> I need another machine so i can have them both up =)

Hey people, why you buy Pegasos and MorphOS? Don't you see the topics? Most people say that MorphOS is dead, dead, dead, dead......

tsk tsk tsk (I don't believe 'em)

Is Amiga dead? Then, why should be MorphOS dead? With the big base of users that we are, and the most important, with the tenacity and perseverance (I don't know if that is english or what the hell it is) of Amiga users, this platform, has at least, 15 years more of life... don't worry about its health yet :-P

Cool little topic.. i don't really consider either system dead or alive, but I do agree with the original post: one must consider MorphOS or AmigaOS a hobby system. A hobby system is not mission critical, does not need to run the latest version of Excel or Access. A hobby system does need to be a lot of fun too. By keeping this mindset, it will help preserve your sanity...

Well, using it to do most of your browsing and email needs, it also manages to eliminate virus and spyware from your mac or pc too. In my opinion, that is just as important as having a good, fun, and SAFE hobby.

Person A: "I can not believe you don't have a PC, get rid of this expensive thing and go get a cheap PC"

Person B: "You like to fish right ?"

Person A: "yes I love to fish"

Person B: "So get rid of all your expensive fishing gear and go get cheap fishes at the fish market"

Bugs to be worked out? MOS is running great and new apps come out all the time...

Besides the Linux support is fantastic and you can also run OSX on it as well! I run Panther and it is fast and stable.

Additionally most Cybergrafx compatible Classic Amiga apps run liike never before.

Stay tuned for BIG NEWS on mos front

Thank you Targhan... I knew you would see the beauty and irony in the post ... now if I could find a dealer that would answer my questions ... I would purchase a Pegasos ... unforunately it has been very frustrating.
