    I've read the list of working verses non-working memory located HERE -- but I'm wondering if someone could provide some "general" guidelines for memory that SHOULD work (registered, non-registered, CL2, CL3, etc.).

    I've got a 256 meg stick laying round that I plan to try, but I don't have high hopes that it'll work.

    Go for ECC Reg CL3 if you can, that's what I did and it just worked.

    @Sergio

    Thanks -- that was kind of a "pattern" I was seeing with the sticks that worked.

    Hi,

    Can anyone tell me a theory, why my samsung -322 is detected as the doubled size.
    Peg1 detects 256, but the stick just has 128.
    bye

    If the one you have at hand does not work, you could always check this out (at the bottom of the page):

    MorphOS is Amiga done right! :-)
    MorphOS NG will be AROS done right! :-)

    Can you use 256 MB on it?

    Sounds to me like some kind of memory shortage where
    they took a 256 MB, rebranded it and maybe did
    something so Windows only sees 128 MB..

    I've seen this on HDDs - 2.1 GB harddrive branded as 1.6 GB
    and had a function that prevented formatting more..
