After trying for hours to configure the mouse for
fullscreen under Linux I went ahead and bought
a USB mouse and to my surprise it works great. :)
I now have a very useable OS9 based Mac system
running. Here is how I did it:

    1. Install PegXLin
    2. dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86
    3. disable guarddog firewall
    4. apt-get remove dhcp-client
    5. apt-get install pump
(or use kpackage and select from first Debian CD)
    6. Configure MOL as described in config files and
    Felix's guide
    7. Configure manual IP address on Mac side
    as in Felix's guide
    8. That's it, works perfect here. 24 bit video, net,
and fullscreen mode is ok on MacOS 9.1

I did have some big problems when installing the
newer kernel and doing "xf86cfg" though, but if you
just remove dhcp-client and replace with pump
    all is well. :)

Did you do something special to
    enable usage of virtual memory,
i already knew it was the swap
space, but it seems it's not
    activated here. ;(

When i start realpc under mol i only have
12 mb left for the emulator ;((( But the
fun thing is, it does start win98 with it, heheh ;-)

To keep you posted on the macosx panther installation,
    i can say:

I just lost 128MB memory, had to buy new, it might be because i transported the memory unsafely or such. :(

I haven't got enough memory to try out macosx panther any further :( But as soon as Pegasos II is here with G4 and about 512/1024 MB ram ;-) I will continu to install it, and eventualy make a guide (if needed) when it works.

    Hi Felix
I did everything you instructed in your guide on installing the new kernal and mods. I reboot with sven's 2.4.22 kernal and Ethernet Networking still doesnt work! I tried to click the "Restart Networking" button on KDE (PegXLin) and I get the error:

    cat: /var/run/dhclient.eth0.pid doesnt exsist failed

    ???
    Please help

    To Clarify:

My regular Linux doesnt connect at all (Peg X LIN) I wasnt referring to MOL in the last post. Its really frustrating to have Linux without being able to get on my Lan :(

I need dhcp for the router.. I have an ADSL modem connected to the router. Peg runs great with MOS and this config..

Something is broken in my Linux config plz help

    Sorry for the late response..

    I quess you need a fixed IP/NETMASK/GATEWAY/DNS
instead of using dhcp auto configuring.

    Tried that ?

    @Felix:

Is it your guide accessible now? I think your homepage has changed (nice retro room... :P), and I can't find it.
