    Hey all,

There's a lot of USB memory card readers available. Do some or most of these work on the Peg(2) with Poseidon 2.2?
Should I wait for Poseidon 3 or can I just buy one that 'looks nice'?

There are also USB floppy drives which can read 720Kb and 1.44Mb floppies, do these work out of the box without drivers (as they should)?

Probably most should work, but obviously that can't be guaranteed. Generally you should make sure that it won't require separate drivers for Windows 2000/XP (if it does - it won't work)

But of course that doesn't guarantee that it works for sure...

The "sure" way is to buy one from amiga dealer. Also the one integrated in Antec Aria seems to work just fine.

But in any case - you must install Fat95 and configure poseidon, otherwise NO reader will work!

I'd love to. I already have fat95 since I-dunno-when,but what's there to configure in Poseidon?

I have an USB stick (250Mb MSD) that always works fine, my Epson printer is hooked up via USB and is correctly identified and works, only my Olympus digicam is correctly identified by Poseidon but I cannot get it to work.

Many card readers don't work at all unless you set "Simple SCSI: and/or "Translate CMD6->CMD10:" in Poseidon prefs

Thanks for that reply, but going back to my original Q, does anybody have any experience with USB memory card readers?

    Hi wlamee

I use a Stratitec 7 in 1 usb memory card reader , 32M CF card and 2 1G SD cards.
Also a Mustek MDC6500Z camera that is seen as massstorage by Poseidon.
The 32M CF card was seen by Poseidon as a massstorage device and mounted as a fat partition(must have fat95 installed).
The 1G SD card(LEXAR) was seen by Poseidon as a massstorage device but, Morphos would not mount it.
Reported as not a dos disk in 'info'.
Linux could mount and read/write all cards, so I knew the card worked.
I reformated 1 of the 1G cards with the camera and after that Morphos would mount that card.
