It does the same with my on-board Pegasos 1 (no april) board.

Well, would be great if it wouldn't happen. It's not really good for high quality amplifiers!

I wonder if it's only a matter of how the capacitors are emptying their charge ...

This is exactly the reason why I haven't connected Pegasos to my hometheatre.

The same happens also with reset only... But here I can see some solution... How about to add some ability, like in dnet client, when You restart Your computer, it could automaticaly disconnect?

But this would require some new AHI feature, which would disable the output, like before the AHI is launched. Because it doesn't happen, when no AHI is launched.

SB Live! 5.1 has quite strange driver for the moment. I tested it all yesterday and in the end I will use Pegasos AC97 (till new AHI driver will be excellent like Pegasos AC97).

Sorry to take this a bit off topic but I just bought a midi cable for my SB 5.1. (£15 from Maplins)
It has an in and an out coming from a game port connecter but also has another connector which looks the same as the game port.

Anyone know what this is for?

    2 Robert:

It's just a standard game port, You can connect Your gameport device to it and unless You would try to use it along with the midi, it should work just fine.

    2 JACK:

I had to use part of the older AHI to get the best sound quality... With the latest drivers the sound output was very silent, and so I used older something (not really sure what did I exchange) and now it's as loud as it was before and I also can use multiple units at the same time :-)

    Bye, MarK.

    @Mark:

    Thanks.

    Even more stupid question:
I just reinstalled my SBLive 5.1, which has been in my A1 for the last several months.

Thing is, I've forgotten where to find/put the driver.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks,
    Robert.

The driver should be inside AHI archive (goes to SYS:Devs/AHI)
    1 + 1 = 3 with very large values of 1

Good, you're half-way there: now click with you left-mouse botton on "AHI 5.13". In the new page that appears, click on the header "AHI 5.13". Download the archive. Install it. Rejoice. :-D

Hmm - I've done something wrong. Bars n Pipes now loads (so I did something right too :-)) but the sound is still coming from AC97.

In system settings I have options for Pegasos and Filesave sound but nothing for emu10k.

Another thing - should ppc-morphos-ahi replace ahi in System:Devs?

    Cheers,
    Robert.

I dont think it matters.... but maybe AHI looks from MOSSYS:Devs/AHI only ?

Also, if you dont need on-board AC97 anymore you can remove pegasos driver...

I have another problems with AHI... When I installed latest AHI, I was able to run songplayer and mplayer(s) at the same time, hearing all the voices mixed together, but now, then songplayer is running, I can't launch the mplayer anymore... Any advice? I really don't remember, if I have changed anything in my settings... :-(

    Bye, MarK.

    Greetz,

I've had the same ''issues'' with all of my Creative cards in the past. And I've got the same now with my Audigy2 on my MSI nforce3 board. Now it is sending that awfull ''bang sound'' only through my center speaker, when system turns down, or when it is reseting.I think that has to be in some connection with the amplifier built on a soundcard.
That is why I'm pretty sure that isn't just a Pegasos ''problem''.

So, I activate a Mute button on my remote, every time the system reboots or turns down.

It is pretty annoying, but there is no good alternative for a gaming soundcard than that damn Creative.

So, I'm living with that curse.

I'll try moving it there tonight. (At work just now)

    No, I'll keep it.

I was sure, when I used the SB live before, that the emu10k driver showed up in the 'System settings', accessed from the Ambient menu bar.
