I have some problems with t my gfx board in the Peg2... (Radeon 7000) ... After some runing the display can get corrupted ... It looks just like a heat problem except that cooling it doesn't help, It stays like that forever and only a reboot helps... When rebooting the display it is back to normal.

Any ideas what this might be? .. Overheating or dust in the socket?.. Or something else?.. Anyone had something similiar?

I also had screentrash (like parts of screen appearing on wrong positions etc.) once (mostly happened after some time running and when you move e.g. windows in higher resolutions). The problem was that the gfx card wasn't properly put into the agp socket.

So first make sure it really sits perfectly (for AGP card it has to sit perfectly).

I hope that's the reason. Also make sure connector and slot are free from dust etc.

    regards,

Ditto, make sure the graphics card's blanking plate isn't preventing it from seating all the way in - it's common on budget cards.
