    Hello everybody,
I wanted to install an SSD in my iMac G5 2.1 iSight today ...
Unfortunately the SSD was not recognized, but I know from videos that they are.

Can you recommend one to me?
Do you also use one yourself?

    Tested:
    Code:
    Crucial MX500 (240GB) - Not Working
    Intel SSD 320 (120GB) - Working
SanDisk SSD Plus (240GB) - Working
    Intenso SSD (240GB) - Working

    best regards

The Power Macs are picky with SSD's. I used a Sandisk Plus SSD, as they are recommended for the Mac. The OWC's seem to be over rated a bit, but some people are using the OWC 3's with no problem. Again this is in the Power Macs, but I would bet it would be the same in the Imac. Good luck!

    Thanks for the answer.

Yes, I've already heard that the SanDisk SSD's probably work in the iMac G5.

    I'm using a Intenso JAJS600m256c 256 GB SSD in a Powermac G5.

Using a SanDisk here as well on my iMac 20" G5 iSight, works great.

I can't recall the model number as it was an old one I had lying around.
