    Hi guys,
i finally got my hands on a powermac 3,5. It boots without problems with the latest MorphOs 3.13 cd. The issue is i can't install it on the HD. It stucks on 5959 files copied after a normal start of the installation process. I even formatted the drive, rebooted and started the process again.. No luck. Off course its a "new installation" not an update.
Any ideas what could be the problem?

Hi there and welcome, have you tried burning a new CD?

Your installation medium might be the issue here. Even though you can boot, there can still be errors in files that are not needed to start the operating system, thus will only become visible once they are accessed and copied during installation.

Another question would be the age of the HD.

I had trouble installing MorphOS both on a PowerBook and PowerMac_G4 in the past which both still had their ancient stock drives in them.

    Hi...
Great to be here. i’m new to MotphOs. The cd was burned minutes before i tried ot install MorphOs (speed 10x). The hd is an old 80 gig seagate i had. I suspected the hd could be the problem and did a full format and verify process before the installation (no errors)..
I’ll burn another cd at full speed just in case, to try that.

The PowerBook has some mSATA+Adapter, for the PowerMac I went with a CF card on the IDE for the "Boot:" partition and everything else on a SATA-SSD (RDB partitioned) hooked to a Sil3112.
