    But also 20MB/s is very slow for Gigabit.

    26806 kB/s = 214 448 kbit/s = 209Mbit/s ~= 0.2 Gbit/s
    Not so bad for old 1core/1.33GHz CPU.
    My much modern BananaPro with 2Core/1.2GHz ARM has speed around 0.3 Gb/s.

    And 209 Mbit is two times more than 100Mbit port ( and thus AmigaOS ) can have.

    I have the same kind of performance, but only at the beginning.

    In fact, the issue is not the speed, it is good. But after hours of usage transfers are becomes laggy (after 6-8 hours a 56K modem would be more efficient ^^). This is not the case with the 100MB interface. In short, max transfer rate of 1GB interface is always ok, but it is becoming unstable over the time (transfer going up and down all the time, with stalled periods).

    Ah, its Bytes and not bits, I read it wrong. Okay, then its better but tcpspeed is still theoretical. The stack and SANA drivers are much slower.

    In what way is TCPSpeed "theoretical"?
