    Thanks R&B :-D

    @all
the first two pictures are prolly the most helpful (an ls /pci/ide/disk@0,0:0 and the command entered). Unfortunately, due to the poor quality of my camers (really, it cannot be helped), anyone wanted to use the photo as reference will likely need the Zoom-Tool)

Oh yeah, it seems the setenv's will have to be reset after the process. I haven't done it here yet, but that's because I usually also set the diag-switch too.

Looks cool, what features does it add? Does that pack of smokes help the upgrade process? ;-)

After downloading the update I've taken some more readable shots with my camera. The first one shows my old boot screen just after I've ESC-aped autoboot:

    boot1mini.jpg

Then I've typed a command to run OF update:

    boot2mini.jpg

    Update software has booted:

    boot3mini.jpg

I was brave, so I've pressed ENTER. Update has started:

    boot4mini.jpg

    Still updating...

    boot5mini.jpg

    Done!

    boot6mini.jpg

But... What the hell. It seems Peg now wants to boot via network:

    boot7mini.jpg

BTW this blue "b" looks nice. But I want to boot my old good MorphOS from HDD. Let's list environment variables...

    boot8mini.jpg

Well, Now all its clear, we need to set boot-device and boot-file back. Let's do it:

    boot9mini.jpg

After that my Pegasos II booted succesfully into MorphOS just by typing "boot". Of course auto-boot can be set up as usual.

Anyone had the chance to run any memory benchmarks before and after upgrade....or does it merely improve support for the types of DIMMs supported?

    @ Donar

Here it still says version 1.1, but the date to the right of the
version number it says 20040405. So perhaps they only forgot to
change the number, as they did with the 2003 copyright notice? ;-)

I installed my update without any problems.

I had the b-plan logo on my Peg2 from day 1, so perhaps the updated OF
    was already on my machine?

I wonder if this is implemented / possible by the oem-logo env-var that I recall from my Peg 1?

I like the 'b' logo...always thought something was missing without it....and with the 'b' it's 2x faster than before right? ;-)

    @ Aaron

The Pegasos II motherboards from the second production run (the
latest was the third) also had that logo. Most certainly you had that
version before. That firmware version was dated 20040224, and this
    (the latest) is dated 20040405.
