Hi Guys.

What is the quickest and easiest way to deactivate touch pad on PB G4 ? Is there any way to make it deactivate itself automatically with every startup of system ? Is it hard to unplug it from power source ?
It just get on my nerves all the time.

The touch pad is connected to the hardware, by connectors under the keyboard, that are not too difficult to access, with the correct sized small screwdrivers (Philips & probably Torx). Which model PB are we talking about here?

I don't think there's a way to de-activate it within the settings as such, so a physical disconnection would be required.

There is a way to do it software-wise. If memory serves me there's been also a small utility (written by Krashan) to deactivate it in a simple way, but I can't find any trace of it.

It is an USB device, so you should be able kill it in Prefs.

MorphOS has an option to disable the touchpad since 3.10, these other harder ways are obsolete now (unless the new option only works for certain hw, but should work for this new PB, and most likely for all devices with a touchpad).

See this setting in your system: MorphOS System settings -> Touchpad -> Enable the Touchpad driver
