Does MorphOS 3.9 support PowerBook G4 15" PCMCIA port?

Ok any MorphOS 3.9 + Crysalis users here? I need help... so my MorphOS setup is on a PowerBook G4 15" & luckily has the same PCMCIA port on the side as the A600, A1200. I have one of those SD-PCMCIA adapters & a 4GB SD card in it. The SD card operates properly when mounted via a USB card reader so that's not a issue. & I've used this adapter card on Amiga OS 3 so not sure why it doesn't seem to work with MorphOS. I've installed all the files I thought I was supposed to but still nothing all I get now is a annoying dialogue every time I reboot. Am I missing something?

    CFO & CFO.info are in "System/Devs/DOSDrivers/"

    compactflash.device is in "System/Devs/"

    fat95 is in "System/L/"

From what I know there are no drivers for PCMCIA (or rather Cardbus, as PowerBook's slot is 32 bit) for other devices than network WLAN cards with Atheros 5k chipset in MorphOS.

Afaik only Cardbus devices would work in the slot and only if plugged in at system boot. Your reader is 16 bit, which is a requirement for it to work in an Amiga.

I vaguely remember some discussion about the slots in Amiga A600 & A1200 being different (limited), compared to standard Cardbus and/or PCMCIA slots on mainstream hardware. I also think that some Cardbus devices, including wireless NIC's had been used successfully in a few PowerBook's running MorphOS, so if you dig long enough, I think you will find some examples of what works, and what does not.

Sorry, that is probably not of much help.

Edit: this post was meant for the original poster, not jadacaps.

Can you specify which Cardbus devices excluding wireless NIC's had been used successfully with PowerBook running MorphOS?

No, my memory for this stuff is worse than it is for most other things, which is pretty bad. If I don't have a personal use for something, I tend to forget details, unless they are remarkable in some way, surprise me, or shock me, then I might remember them. When support for PowerBooks was first released, IIRC, I was using, or trying to use, a wireless Cardbus device with the Atheros chipset, but then I found and purchased a couple of different Ethernet bridge type devices (Netgear WCN2001 was one of them I think), which were easier to setup and use, so I lost interest in Cardbus devices.

I don't think we've tested anything but the wireless cards.
