    Hello.

I've got my PegasosII G3 600MHz board with MorphOS CD.

    When typing

    ls /pci/ide/cd

    I get

    "cd error: no such device"

Tried 3 different CD drives, I use a 256mb TwinMOS 333MHz DDR RAM.

Tried lots of different, and still cant get it to run. It dosent seem to detect my mem in startup for some reason neither.

    Please help me out.

    Regards,
    Michal, www.amigaworld.org

    Hi Morphdelf,

First, what ide channel is your cdrom drive plugged in to and is it set as master or slave?

Most of the time the best way is to put your harddrive on the primary ide channel as master and the cdromdrive on the secondary channel as master, and use the 80 conductor ide cable.

    Please read your Pegasos manual.

    You have to type:

    ls cd

    Hello MorphDelf,

it can be tricky to use the "early startup sequence" :-)

I'm at my work now, so I don't know exactly the right words.

In the BIOS, type help. This will show you which commands you can use.
I believe "show-devs" gives you all the attached peripherals on your Peg. Check if you see something like: "/pci8000.../ide...../cd.."

Now play with the command "ls" and what you found with the "show-devs"-command.

Important, if your CD-ROM isn't recognised, you won't see this peripheral show up with "show-devs".

Oh, search the forum, somewhere I did mention this part :-)

    Good luck,

    Spidey
