Okay, reworking is in only one new hole in plastic for fixing drive in new position.

In my PowerBookG4 i use mSATA2IDE44 adapter, 2.5" SATA drive cannot be fitted with SATA2IDE44 adapter.

This is a little expensive compared to the chinese knockoffs, but it might be worth it for the varranty. This is the right one right?

In my PB works about year sheapest chinese adapter, looks similar as in your link, with 128Gb ADATA mSATA card. Works very well with triple boot - Debian/MorphOS/OSX.

Can anyone confirm that the converter in the link above is the right one? I'm 99% sure it is but I want to be 100% sure.

So I tried it with my Samsung 128GB (SSD 830 Series)

I installed the disc, the disc holds just below the CDROM
By forcing it a little ets OK.

I boot the MacMini .... error OpenFirmware screen .....

I then test by removing the visible jumper on the adapter.

I try again and nothing

I got back on my IDE drive.

Maybe you need to reset PRAM by button or keyboard shortcut after installing new drive.

I installed the recommended IDE --> mSATA adapter and a Samsung 250 GB mSATA SSD in my Mac Mini and so far it works great. The speed difference is noticable, even though it would probably be much faster on modern hardware.

The only downside is that there are no screws to keep it fixed in the slot, so it relies on the pins. But they are sturdy so I don't expect much problems.
