    Hello, All!!!

I have 2 modules of Kingstone ValueRAM (see "green" memory list).
But my PegII see only 256MB for one module and 512MB for two modules.
Is it possible to decide this problem? Is it hardware of firmware
    problem?

If I'm understanding what you are saying then if you have one module in you see 256MB of ram, and if you install two you see 512MB of ram. To me this would state that you have 2 256MB ram chips.

If this is the case, then what is the question?

Did I miss what you were saying?

I think he says that he has 2 512 Mb modules but the Pegasos only "see" 50 % (256 with one, 512 with 2 of them).

I would guess more that it is a 512 kit that take 2 256 = 512. 512 is probably written on them some where but it is a kit of 2. Being kinston/value ram I've seen packaging that could be a little missleading before on them.

Just my guess at this point.

I had the same problem on my CSPPC (only half amount of ram avalible). A common problem with bplan hardware? :-)

No, I use the Kingston ValueRAM 512M PC2700 #KVR333X64C25/51. It
is really 512M module (tested on PC). Other computer (PC) shows
that 1GB RAM available when 2 modules inserted and 512MB whet one
    module inserted.
But only 256MB available on my PegII with one module (instead of
512MB) and 512MB with two modules.
    I'm blue...

    Hi mobydick!

I have also KVR333X64C25/512 Kingston ValueRAM in my Peg2 and it works flawlessly without any troubles. Either Your modules or (pity, but more probably as it works with a PC) Your Peg2 seams to be buggy :-(

    Hello, MarK!

Unfortunately, it works with the PC, but not works with me PegII.
I think my board really has some bugs. BTW, Samsung
    PC2700U-25331-Z M368L6423ETN-CB3 512M DDR PC2700 CL2.5 was tested.
Single module works fine. But memtest failed, when two modules was
    inserted.
And my system clock not stable. Every time I shutdown my PegII
clock sets at friday, 13, february 2004. Sometimes reboot causes reset
clock. I think, it is necessary to change the battery.

The clock problem is a known bug and NOT related to RAM issues. It is fixed in upcoming version of Morphos.

    I'm using a pc2700 PNY ddr ram module 256mb

and a Samsung pc2700 module both show up as 512 np and pass test...
