    Hello,
I have a Symbios 875 compliant scsi adapter,
to which I connect a plaxtor 40x CDRom and a Yamaha 2100 Burner, but they are making trouble,
the openfirmware won't see the yamaha, or if it is seen, then with alls LUN's enabled and
    Morphos doesn't see the burner..
maybee, ther is a openfirmware bug on Peg II?
On a PC, the combination works as expected.

    AFAIK
875 is problematic on peg atm.. I use a Symbios 825 and it works great on Peg1 should be fine on P2

I use a SYM53C895 based U2W SCSI card which seems to be working very well. Though i only have one SCSI drive attached to it now.

Any Disable LUN Scan or other jumpers you could try in the CDRW drive?

    Hello,

I don't relly know, what I have done, only
tested the components in a PC..

The firmware always shows al LUNs for the writer,
    but both drives now work!

Perhaps a simple loose or damaged cable or an intermittent termination problem.

    Very common with SCSI :)

By the way, magnetic: could you strip your signature down a little bit, we're all quite bored of your system spec ;)

Does Peg II support the LSI Controllers?

When i go Symbios.com I get redirected to LSI.

Are the SYMBIOS models discussed the same for the LSI models?

Would it be safe to purchase the lastest pci 160 controller from LSI?

    Thanks...
