No, I have both an X1900GT and an X1950XT.
While I don't doubt you could flash the XT with the GT's rom, it would not perform optimally.

Ur um, why do I feel like my German friends are stalking me?

Seems I misunderstood your reply to rzookol then.

    Paranoia maybe? ;-)

    Guilt more likely.

rzookol may have a card that looks like an X1950XT, the cooler on my second generation X1900GT looks exactly like an X1950XT cooler.
They ditched the single wide "dust magnet" cooler for a more efficient double wide setup.
If it had an X1900GT bios, that still might not affect the posted specs.

As I understand his statement he really has an X1950XT, flashed with an X1900GT PPC ROM. The WWW has some reports of people who say this is possible.

    Yes, its possible.
The 1950 is just a die shrink.
But you would loose some performance.

As I have an Apple X1900GT, and a PC X1950XT and X1900GT I'll get around to trying this eventually.

The R580 of the X1900GT and the R580+ of the X1950XT have the same die size. The shrinked die is the RV570 of the X1950GT and X1950PRO.

    BTW - Fug u Kronos,

BTW - On further examination, the card I bought as an X1900GT would appear to be a flashed X1950XT, so that can be done.
I might as well try this on the X1950XT I have on hand (and the PC X1900GT)
