Is there any difference in the way a Mac Mini G4 1.42 connects to an Apple Studio Display and a Mac Mini G4 1.5?

I'm using with my G4 1.42 a DVI to ADC Adapter to connect the monitor and then a DVI cable from the adapter to the cpu; this wroks just fine.

The mistery is that I just bought a Mac Mini G4 but this time the 1.5 silent update with 64Mb VRAM, and when using the same monitor setup, the monitor doesn't turn on.

I tried the "new" Mac Mni G5 with another DVI Montitor (Sharp) using a DVI cable directly, without going through the DVI to ADC Adapter, and to my surprise it works fine.

Do thsi two revs of G$ CPU connect in a different way? What do I need to continue using my Apple Studio Dsiplay with the G4 1.5?

The digital part of the DVI port might be broken quite common issue wth the minis.

Not really in my case. Like I said I used the Mac Mini g4 1.5 with a DVI cable connected to a Sharp LCD monitor and it works just fine. It doesn't work with the Apple Dsiplay Studio that I'm using with the G4 1.42
