    Hi,

I tried MorphOS 3.3 (only unregistered [for now]) on my new Powerbook G4 today and have some networking issues.

I'm sure I configured the network correctly and it worked *once* in some hours (I rebooted here and there). I tried Offline eth0, Online eth0, showinterface eth0 even shows correct stuff, netstat too. I tried static IP, I tried DHCP IP and I also got some experience in networking, so I don't think this is a "basic" problem. I also tried the driver from MorphOS 2.7 without any difference. It worked only *once* with the current network driver.

Network is 192.168.1.0/24 with FritzBox, which is on 192.168.1.1 as default gateway.

And it didn't work on all other tries. No ping possible, even to local IPs no response. My router says the device/adapter is connected though. So they seem to negotiate on link layer but not on TCP/IP. But as I said, it worked once, so I got an IP only one time.

I really would like to debug this issue. Do you, so some of the developers, have any advices, how to debug this correctly? Because this Powerbook G4 is bought on eBay, I did not test the ethernet device with MacOS so I cannot fully exclude it's an issue with the hardware.

    Thanks,
    André

I have no idea but there is NetStat in System:Tools you can use to look at low level details. It could be dead ethernet port, bad cable or maybe just router...
    1 + 1 = 3 with very large values of 1

Now it worked again. It even survived a restart. I already was able to remove and replug the cable while pinging and he survived that. Then it was gone again. I restarted the system, replugged the cable and it was back after some restarts. Seems to be some hardware problem and not a problem with the drivers itself :-( Sigh.

Are there any verbosity settings I can enable in this driver? Or some output to the log which shows init/negotiation details?

Oh well, and sound is extremely low (like here: https://morph.zone/modules/newbb_plus/viewtopic.php?topic_id=7896&forum=9) and Fn-keys are not working. I should wait for some bugfixes I guess :-)
