    Hey guys,

I have a Radeon 9600 Pro (256mb) in my Powermac G5. It is great for a lot of things - quake, quake ii, quake iii, RTCW, etc.

I saw after the 3.3 update that we should be able to use the Radeon 9800 XT, so I ordered one of those. I'm not sure how much of a benefit that card will provide, but hey, why not! :)

However, I really miss being able to play Wipeout2097. I was considering buying a different gfx card just to support that game. If I buy a Radeon 9250, will I see overall degraded performance throughout the OS with other various tinygl games and applications, or will it work just as well as the 9600 Pro / 9800 XT yet still provide warp3d?

    Thanks!

    A 9600Pro vs a 9250?
I'd like to think it would have a slight advantage, but not necessarily enough to justify the loss of compatibility.

A 9800XT? Definitely a better card than either of the other two.
