After putting tape over pins 3 and 11 on the backside of this card I can say it works fantastic in my MDD system. ITs very fast so far. Im a bit nervous about the tape over the pins, but think it should be fine. Its not like I am putting this card in and out of the slot several times.

If anyone knows how to do a safer and more perminent mod to teh card I would like to hear about it please.

I havent tested 3D yet, but will be shortly. I need to find something that actually hits the 3D hardware. My Castle Wolfenstien disk 2 seems to not be working with the installer so thats out for now. I need to track down my Quake disks and see if they work.

Not sure how the layout is on the 9600s, but I removed two resistors on the back of the 9800 PROs I had. Figured I would never ever use them on a PC again so it didn't bother me removing them. 8-)

My RTCW CD2 didn't work as well with the installer but by copying the files from this CD manually into the right folders it worked ! should be the same for you.
