Anybody know how to change the name of
long file names ???

Like if i Record a MP3 with AmiNetRadio i can play them, but the file name is veeeeery long, i can not copy or rename them

Is there a program for it or am i screwed ?

When you list the file are the read/write bits set?
Have you tried using the 'Protect' shell command?
ie.
Protect <very loooong filename> +rw

If the read/write bits are unset Ambient will not allow you to copy or rename files.

Maybe stupid but, on my miggy I used to use the <first letters of filename>#? option, so you could try: rename blablabla#? justbla.

Otherwise you could use Dopus4; on the amiga it could rename long filenames as well.

I tryd Both options but no luck...
It still says "Bad Template"

if the file name has spaces in it put " marks around it
