    So, yesterday I was tinkering my MorphOS setup. Thought to try out the Snes emulation package (pre-installed via Pack Ultimate 3.1, with the corresponding front end MUI). Downloaded NBA Jam and test it. I was disappointed by the looks of it. Though the game was running on 60/60 fps at fullscreen, it looked like as if there was a filter enabled (making pixels look smooth and apparently completely fake). Overlay didn't do the trick. The difference in comparison between our version of Snes9x and Zsnesw151 that I a using on my WinPC cannot be overlooked. Is it possible to "fix" our emulation package or am I missing something?

    I use it now and then, never used it on another platform so I am not sure about the difference. Probably best to contact the author.

    A small update: I checked Snes9x with NBA Jam (same rom) on my WinPC station. Apparently the same "blurriness", with the pixels looking artificially smooth and stretched is platform independent. No option amendment fixed the issue. If someone has access to a WinPC, I strongly suggest to choose Zsnes (zsnesw151) over Snes9x for Snes emulation, since it looks rather more accurate.

    Yea, it's most likely platform independant. Without overlay, there's no filter involved.

    Maybe i should consider porting zsnes someday, but IIRC, it wasn't that easily portable years ago, which is why i went for snes9x instead.

    That said, this is not that common to see such a blurring effect. Snes9x usually does the job just fine, including for superfx games.

    @Fab

    You better continue your work on Odyssey and MPlayer :) We can live with Snes9x instead of Zsnes in the meantime :P
