Yes, I'm responding to the parts I'm quoting.

Mounting happens on dos.library level, not on Workbench or Ambient. So it is mounted, as I said. As to why the icon is only shown in MyMorphOS I don't know, though.

    > yes technically it is mounted

    Exactly :-)

The volume name is written in the ISO image header. It may be that MorphOS assigns a pseudo-random numerical volume name if the volume name 'field' in the header is empty or corrupted. In any case, if it's not shown as 'rtcw' that's simply because that's not the name of the ISO image.

    > as a cd or iso yes it ca't be renamed

Actually, the header and thus the volume name of an ISO image *can* be changed. There're numerous tools to do this. You can try http://aminet.net/package/disk/cdrom/Edison for instance. Alternatively, you can try to create an assign for 'rtcw:' to the volume with the numerical name. If your ISO image is (apart from the name) identical to one of the original versions that are recognized by the RtCW installer this may work.

    Yes, that's what's expected.

    > you will probably disect this somemore

    Yes :-)

    I don't think I'll take your advice :-P
