try to check all your screenmodes definitions, in my case sdl games in fullscreen mode often use screenmodes not supported by my TFT screen (the older one had wider sync spectrum so I had not such problems). I think redefinition of the screenmodes (change timings) should help in your and mine cases (but first I must fight my laziness ;) )

last word: OpenTyrian in fullscreen mode work perfectly on my Peg without any changes (but it depends on gfx card and screen model)

Hmm ... in theory it should have been even able to do even smoother than an Amiga as PC gfx cards had better refresh rate (> 60 Hz).

I wonder how many of you know that SOME games that also exist on both platforms are actually better on PC.
ready for a shock? TURRICAN II is better (256colors) and with the same smoothness on a 386sx/20 pc. good programmers can make a LOT of change!
look an older thread of mine on EAB
stop being so narrow-minded (although the fact that u laughed is a good one)

    hi

im not narrowminded but my experience with scrolling pc dos games at that time is that they're crap:) almost all of them looked better coz the 256 vga palette, but on amiga it feels a lot smoother (slamtilt, anyone?:).
and i played a lot of games on both platofrms back then. in fact these kind of games prooved that the amiga is superior than pc, and i could show them to my pc-owner buddies - ok, i was 1x yrz old then:)

maybe one example came in mind wich can proove your point: xenon2. i played it on a 386pc first then on a500 and i was wonder why is it so slow?:)

I've just discovered this fine game. Very addicting old-school shoot 'em up and it runs unexpectably fast on my Amiga 1200. I think that the latest powersdl update is faster than the previous ones.
I would like to hear suggestions for some good morphos games that do not demand a fast CPU or 3D gfx drivers. SDL or not. I already know of battle of wesnoth.
