This might be interesting for other re intigrating Amiga users. It might simplify things. If you like to play an old game called "Myst" from 1997 on your morphos system, you have to do some easy steps. I like clear manuals so here is one, from a newbie for newbies.
1. Download the cd version of myst "somewhere.." It works best to search for "myst amiga cd", and add "emu" to your search string on the net assuming you'll find the same results as i did: 2 .Extract the zip file in a drawer of choice. 3 An iso file will appear. 4. Best is to extract the iso to a new drawer together with other games in the game drawer you use. 5. Now download this lha: http://aminet.net/game/patch/MYST_v1.1.lha 6. Extract the contents of this file in the same folder you created in step 4 (the extracted cd) 7. After finishing, Go to the drawer and run "MYST_AGA.exe" 8. Select a usable resolution for it. 640 *480 was best in my config. 9. Have fun.
All thanks to Pan1k! He helped me in my search for the right link to get the right morphos patch!.
some things I experienced: The game exits only when you start a new game , and while playing select right mouse button. A "exit" button will appear. If you select a wrong resolution, you probably can't see the screen. Best is to restart morphos and try again. Sometimes the game window disappear on the moment of starting a new game in the menu. You see a shell window asking to assign or mount the myst cd. Neglect it, myst is still running in the background. Just click on the activation button right-up on the morphos desktop.
