    Hello all,

I'm trying to get Quake II running on my mac mini however everytime I double click the executable and try to run the game I get the message:

Error: Couldn't fall back to software refresh!

I've installed the Baseq2 folder from the x86 Quake II demo on my Windows machine to the same directory as my MorphOS Quake II install and cannot seem to get around this error!

    Any ideas?

I've noticed that the game has broken with some MorphOS update. I've also reported it. For me it shows by being very unstable. It wasn't before.

    Hi,

    Sorry, can't help you here.

I just tested QuakeII (MorphOS version) on my Mini, G4 and G5 and it worked OK - except for the G5 where I didn't get any sound.

Well, maybe take a look at baseq2/config.cfg and check the entry labeled "vid_ref" should be set to "tinygl". Maybe it's still set to some PC value if you've copied the directory from there.

    Bye HAK

Vid_ref was set to "gl", set it to "tinygl" and sadly there was no difference with the same resulting error.

Yasu or HAK, is it possible for you to post the contents of your baseq2/config.cfg so I can compare it to mine?
