I'm working on an Alien Breed TC for Odamex and was wondering if anyone here would be willing to run some tests for me. I'm trying to get some feed back till my new MorphOS hardware arrives.

    Thanks in advance!

Textures and the game itself doesn't look too demanding.. could this work on a Macmini with just 32MB of gfx memory?

VRAM isn't really a limiting factor, Odamex uses software rendering.

    Hey X,
I thought you sold your MorphOS hardware when you were out of work.
Are you re-purchasing now that you are on more stable economic footing?

BTW - What happened to your website?

For now anyway... ;) (sinister laugh)

To those willing to help, thank you, I will PM you each soonish!

Jim: I did, twas a sad day selling that Mini, but I knew G5 support is on the way so I figured I'd come back into the game with that, though...

I noticed Soviet was selling his Efika with a Radeon 7000 so I figured I'd start a little early and buy that. I was always curious as to how well MorphOS would perform on meager hardware, now I'll know!

I can't say I'm economically stable yet, but I've got a foot hold and with all the work I've been doing and the fact that BsZili aka Peter Sellers ;) took the time to port Odamex over to my beloved MorphOS, I figured I'd be able to live with my self if I made this on little investment. I CAN not wait to see how well it performs on the Efika, it crashes my XBOX classic every now and then, but I think that is due mostly to the 64Mb RAM limitation.

Glad to hear that things are going better.
I've been through some rough spots too recently.
BTW - Soviet is waiting for a Radeon 9800Pro I'm sending him for his Power mac.

Also, as your project relies on software rendering, it ought to work on R300 cards (a bonus).

Aghh heck with it, might as well open the flood gates and see what happens. I was trying to keep this (EARLY WORK) limited to a select few, but I'm afraid I'm at a cross roads and need some advice, but first the link which also contains all the info as to where I'm at on this. As for what I plan to get onto next...

...I need to learn how to set up a POLL here first. :)
