I see that Mednafen has been ported to the Wii, and this makes me wonder if it would not then be portable to MorphOS as well?

    Emulators supported:

    GameBoy/GameBoy Color
    GameBoy Advance
    Game Gear
    Lynx
    Nintendo Entertainment System (NES)
    Neo Geo Pocket
    PC Engine (CD)/TurboGrafx 16 (CD)/SuperGrafx (Fast version)
    PC-FX
    Sega Master System
    Virtual Boy
    WonderSwan

My main point of interest is of course the TurboGFX 16 CD support and of course Virtual Boy support. ;)

    Hmm...

Well it appears that Hu-Go is still a bit behind Mednafen in regards to compatibility. Castlevania plays, and I'm very happy to see it running on my MorphOS machine, but there is a LOT missing in the audio department. I'd have thought Hu-Go would have all that worked out by now, it's been years literally!

Gonna try out the Valis and Ys series next.

Hu-go is a good port, but still, is behind the other ports available on other machines.
For example, one of my favourite version of street fighter, the pcengine one don't work properly.
Hey, is anyone aware of any msx emulator available for ppc?. Amimsx under uae is very slow and unusable.
Could be possible a port from fmsx?.

Exactly, for as long as Hu-Go has been around, I'd figure that it would be caught up with Mednafen by now.

On that note, I still wonder why people have not jumped on Mednafen unless of course their target audience was Efika owners at the time or something, or unless it's coded in something that is not on MorphOS or what ever.

I currently run variations of Mednafen on my classic (hacked) XBOX which really doesn't have very many resources to spare, and yet is capable of emulating things to a degree of quality that just blows my mind! I'd think for sure such ports would also run well on even the more low end machines that MorphOS can run on, such as the eMac that I currently own...

I mean it's not like Efika is our only option any more. In fact the lower end Efika is more expensive than a higher end eMac.

Anyone that is interested can try out this new beta of Hu-Go! I was working on awhile ago.
I had planned to fix and improve some more things before release but this one does fix a few
audio problems due to CD and PSG audio overlapping on certain games. I started a basic
CD compatibility chart and included more pre-made HCD files too.

Here is a link to the download:
