So here's something really cool I ran across. Apparently you can take Lucas Art's latest incarnation of The Secret of Monkey Island, and extract the new game files, sound track, and talkie pieces, and use them in ScummVM!
The down side is that we won't be able to use the upgraded graphics, andScummVM needs a slight tweak to the code in order to this to work as it should, but really never stopped loving the old graphics, so the addition of a TALKIE feature will be plenty enough to catch my interest.
I read that this was supposed to be added to the official source tree, but that was sometime last year and it still has not been added, though the modified source is available.
I found this discussion about the project, though to save you time, the intro is of course on page one, and the latest version of the file extraction package along with the ScummVM source tweaks are currently located on page 9.

Something to think about.
