Hello,

I cannot use UAE4ALL. The screen goes black after I start.

I cannot use E-UAE, it locks up the whole machine after starting.
I am using an A500 rom 1.3 (34.5) C=

Any ideas like only a certain version will work?
I downloaded the v2 of UAE but there was a 1.14 and a 1.15.

UAE4ALL is version 1.

Anxious to get this working.

I found out I am using 0.8.29-WIP4 of e-uae.
Hope that helps.

Works fine overhere with more or less the same powermac. And that version you have should be ok also. So it should be something about the way you configurate it I think.

Well the black screen could be because it freezes just after the emulated Amiga booting I think. What does it do in windowed mode and can you see the console telling you something ?

UAE4All should be v0.30 rc2 or similar.

the last build made from pedro is rc2 but have some bugs and is incomplete.
The good notice is i am working updating the uae4all with stefkos add new features and more faster ;)

The linked copy did not work any better.
I select the ADF and start and get a black screen with no response from F11 or F12.
I think my kick.rom file is bad.

Why does uae4all posted here have an eject FD1 option?
Is there a floppy in the second disk drive by default?

I used a different kick.rom and now I get the v1.3 kickstart screen, but no game (I aint got no game, its a personal problem).
If I select eject DF1 I get a white screen.
Either way I am stuck with no game.

ok, weird problem.
The first kick rom is 256k and uae sees it and recognizes it but wont work with it. uae4all can't use it.
The second kick.rom I tried is 512k and uae can't recognize it but uae4all gets farther along with it.

Got a whole bunch of kickstart files and they are all 512 kb.
Even the ones from my legal "Amiga Forever" package.
None of mine are 256kb.

If you use one of Amiga Forever rom-files, you must specify path to the key file for it in the configuration. (You'll need the keyfile aswell)

I think this is the issue here.

Issue resolved.
All it took was some beer and the resulting brain dead thinking.
It turns out that I needed three things:
1) 512 kickrom not from the amiga forever collection.
2) The ADF had NO protection bits set on the file so when I copied the file to the uae folder I was getting a file with zero bytes (read bit was unchecked).
Setting the protection bits to RWED allowed everything to work.
3) My multimedia keyboard has this damn laptop type function key thing. You have to hit F-LOCK before the function keys work. Unbelievable.

Anyway to go full screen with E-UAE and uae4all?
E-UAE is working better than uae4all for me personally.

For E-UAE, In config file:

With native version (non-SDL), use amiga.screentype=custom. You may also want to enable overlay output since it's a bit faster and gives free resizing/ratio correction: amiga.use_overlay=true. There's no way to toggle at runtime, unfortunately.

With SDL version, it would be gfx_fullscreen_amiga=yes and/or gfx_fullscreen_picasso=yes, and you can switch at runtime with ctrl alt s.

Last question:

I am getting no sound from either one.
I use rhLaunch to control EUAE.
There is not sound option in the MUI interface.
How do I get sound?
P.S. I am using the non-SDL version of EUAE. Is that the problem?

Thanks to the user that sent me a working uae4all rc1.
This fixed all of my bugs.

Still need sound though.
