Any luck getting FuhQuake-gl to work on Efika? FuhQuake-soft runs OK, but the gl version just displays "not enough memory". Even in 320x240 I can only see the initial page and a console. Any attempt to open a level just ends up with an error message (memory, memory again). How much RAM does it eat?

BTW: It seems that only the Aminet port and FuhQuake work. The GLQuake-MOS just hangs on my system.

I have an Efika with MOS 2.0 and Radeon 9200 SE (64 MB version - could this be a problem?)

just take another radeon with more memory and everything should be ok, ...

Set gl_max_size "1" (the lowest setting, you can try with higher :) ) and gl_texturemode "GL_NEAREST". This will spare some memory :). Yes, Fuhquake works on an Efika.

Well, after a few attempts it worked with given parameters. I managed to load a map, and see the ugliness of these settings for myself :) Anyway, I cannot load the main menu by pressing Esc (a well known "not enough memory available" error), or even walk through to a next level (same problem). I'll just stick to the software version. You're saying that the problem isn't the built-in 128 MB of Efika, but the 64 MB Radeon here?

Switch to layers2d if you are using layers3d, they need less memory. I would say that problem is with 128MB only Efika, not in Radeon.

When using layers3d my system won't boot at all, so that wasn't the problem. I get more free ram by starting without startup-sequence, but the game won't even start then.
