The update actually worked now after giving it another try

Also had the resolution prob but got a working screen size after fiddling with the other display settings like billinear/trilinear

when I installed it, it just searched through servers until one worked and actually downloaded the update...
about the res prob, I did not have it , and I had a 9250 and now a 8500. works perfect.
have u both applied the 3D update on MOS?

    Hi,

Quake III is installed. However, how to play ? I shoot another person that seems a friend person... I'am shoot down quikly after the game starts, there's heavy fire on me, but don't know where's come from. The game freezes when i'am lost..

@amigaharry : I think you're in the 1st level. The "friendly person" is your opponent. Shoot him 4 or 5 times and you will pass to the next level.

If Q3 freeze, check your RAM : you need more or less 250-300 Mo of free RAM for certain level.

    Hi,

Bots, i understand, are other players played by the computer. You can add more or remove them. Played another Quake 3 start level, when i was lost, then i started the game again and again. The enemies are strong ! Only loading Quake 3 files takes time.
