I took a quick look at the tutorial... Is this game related to Planetarion in any way?

Very much planetation-like. Except UW is not like watching grass grow like Planetarion. 2 min ticks rule

It is now possible to sign up and do initial preparations.

Shortly:

1) goto Resources, initiate the CRYSTAL roid
2) goto Construction, start building AUTOMATED MINES
3) goto Research, start researching WAVELET THEORIES

After 12 ticks (24 minutes) you can start researching and manufacture other stuff. Note, at the very beginning of the game its no use to build warships, but to initiate as much roids as you can find.

Hope to see as much MOS-people playing as possible. I will be playing as commander Hooligan of planet DualCrew^Shining, do NOT attack me or I will be very angry

Hmm, 2 minute tick ? Does that mean I have to sit in front of the screen for the next week ? Or is there some sort of autopilot that keeps the time invested at a reasonable level ?

Your choise if you want to leave your planet unguarded

But there are also safehours/sleepinghours which you can set when ever you want, and while in sleep no-one cant attack you, and during this time you will receive money from ticks.

You can also pause your game whenever you want so no-one can attack you, but you will not receive money from these ticks.
