In this thread (https://morph.zone/modules/newbb_plus/viewtopic.php?topic_id=5072&forum=27) I see people wanting a update version of Daimonin and Net Panzer.

So, here a list of open source games that can be ported/updated for MorphOS :

    - Pengupop
    - Globulation
    - Widelands
    - Daimonin
    - Net Panzer

(I'm not a coder, so people who can port them are welcome :-)

yeah, looks good, but how will it performing on a pegII with a radeon 8500 max?
but it seems to very configurabe, maybe turning off some (all?) eyecandy will do the trick...
the minimum spec. for this game is 1ghz x86 + geforce4, a g4 pegII+radeon8500 is stronger than that in terms of horsepower (but lacks of better 3d drivers i guess...)

    yes it's very configurable.
For now (at least for me, a noob about 3D programming ) tinyGL is able to carry the port (with a little loss of the features)

The pros of this engine are :
    - the modularity
    - it's very lightweight
    - the main author is an old amiga programmer (it's the father of the E compiler )

    The Cons are :
    - it's written in C++ (maybe the official SDK is too old)
    - the growing of this engine is very fast and the direction is for more PixelShader code (which we don't have)

Sauerbraten looks cool, this would be a great to have.
But what about some WW2 Shooters like Medal of Honor???

i think the M.O.H. series aint free.
but if you pay the big fat check to EA, maybe it is possible:)

i tried sauerbraten on my athlon xp 1600+/radeon 9600/w*nxp, and it was damn slow! i was get around 5-10 fps, without any eyecandy (in 1024*768/32, without aa or shaders....)

i think the peg/mos is not suitable for this game right now, but hope i wrong:)

Yeah it's pity that it's still not free like Q3. :-(
Cos the MOH community is still huge and active and this
game is way better then Q3!

Another vote for Sauerbraten or a good working port of Cube. Tribal Trouble would be nice.

It generally doesn't make too much sense to suggest closed sources games :)
Sauberbraten is far too slow on Peg2/linux to be playable.
OpenArena might be interesting, it's a q3-tc without needs of
    original q3-data files:
    http://openarena.ws/?about
    its very fast on Peg2/linux
