Hi Fabien, your work on E-UAE, MorphOS version, is really precious!
I have a question concerning qualifier keys used by E-UAE. You said:
> And shortcut qualifier for both sdl and native versions is : CTRL ALT.
Please note that the CTRL ALT qualifier might be used sometimes even
within an emulated AmigaOS, thus giving rise to compatibility problems. In fact, if the user tries to send a CTRL ALT F1 key combination, say, to a program running within the emulation, it will be intercepted and processed by E-UAE for its own use, instead, and will never reach the emulated program.
If F12 could be used like on other platforms, either as a qualifier instead of CTRL ALT, or at least as a toggle to activate/deactivate external command mode for E-UAE, the previous problem would be avoided.
(Explanation for rookies: the F12 key does not exists on real Amiga keyboards so none will never need to send a F12 keypress event to emulated programs.)Of course the whole question is irrelevant for games, but could be important for people who emulate the AmigaOS 3.x environment just for programs that do not run correctly within the MorphOS environment (e.g. FinalData).
Actually I don't know if this minor problem should be addressed to you, like I'm doing now, or directly to Richard Drummond. Please let me know.
Regards.
