    Hi,

Just installed quake III on my pegII, and its running very well, even at 1024x768. :)

I recall when playing it a few years (!) back on the pc, there was a way to show what the current frame rate was. Is there an option on the port to do this? Just want an idea on how well its running at various resolutions and settings etc.

Using a Radeon 8500@250/250 at the moment, which if I'm not mistaken is about the fastest card currently supported by morphos/3d?

What sort of resolutions are the rest of you fellow morphos quake III people using? ;)

Well, found out relevant info. Search option doesn't seem to work very well for me for some reason, but after I posted this there was an interesting "related post" listed at the bottom.. ;)

Using the "four.DM_68" demo file (which is the only one installed by defaut from what I can see) I get pretty good results.

All settings on full, max texture details etc, screen and textures in 32bit..

    1024x768 - 25 fps
    1280x1024 - 27 fps .... going up???? Hmm...
1600x1200 - 21.5 fpd .... not sure on this one as seemed more like an oversized screen rather than higher res. Probably haven't got a suitable mode in screen prefs. ;)

I wonder if using an SB Live card instead of onboard sound will make any difference - although I think its actually rather gpu/driver intensive/limited....?

When in main menu, you can type "cg_showfps 1" into the console to show the current fps inside the game.
