Hi!
Ages ago I started to code game like "Atomino" on AmosPro. For long I thought about re-doing it on C some day, and now it seems I might be doing it now, as project for school course.
So... Any kind of ideas, what should be added to the original game?
I don't have it downloadable on my home page anymore, but I do have old screenshot...
Ato_small.png Likely I'll at least use much higher resolution (Maybe 1024x768
)
Maybe I'd better describe the basics of the game a bit...
You'll get random supply of 4 kinds of atoms, with 1-4 electrons. When you place 2 atoms with at least one free electron each next to each other, they'll form a connection, and both atoms will have one electron less. You can either place atom on screen, or swap current atom with any placed atom. When you manage to build molecule that doesn't have any spare electrons, it disappears, and you get points.
In the picture blue atoms have one electron, red ones have 2, green have 3, and yellow atoms have 4 electrons.
(And OF COURSE they're animated, and AmosPro version runs very smooth on unexpanded Amiga 500 no matter how many electrons there are on screen
)
Of course there are different kinds of levels, like "Create X molecules with at least Y atoms", "Clean screen of all atoms" etc.
One good addition would be 2 player game, but I don't really know how that would work the best...
