I discovered the game metal slug3 and wanted to try it out.
Found the rom and started up mame version 0.120 on my powerbook.
Game loads up nicely and playes ok on the keyboard.
But..I want to play it with my joystick.
Joystick works 100% with euae so settings in usb are ok.
I pressed tab in the game and joystick is set in the game.
But I get no response from the joystick not even the fire button.
Powerbook 5,4 1.5GHz 1.5GB ram

Joypads are supported in MAME, but you have to configure them in the tab menu (press enter to bind each event and then press the proper button/direction).

In case "mouse" is enabled in MAME settings (in the GUI), disable it. It might have caused a conflict in 0.120.
