Finnish Amiga Users Group's Saku 2014 event was held in Tampere, Finland, on September 20th and the event was crowded by an estimated 200-300 visitors.

Highlight of the event was Petro Tyschtschenko's (Commodore/Amiga International) and Michael Battilana's (Cloanto) speech, which featured lots of history, details and memories - and some forward-looking thoughts as well. The event also featured other interesting guests, such as the theatre director and writer Jotaarkka Pennanen, who was one of the very first Amiga owners in Finland. He continued utilizing Amigas both personally and professionally all the way up to the Amiga 4000.

Computer selection at the event was expanded from previous years, from Amigas and Commodore machines also to other systems of the era. There were tens of machines from the likes of Sinclair, Atari, Salora, MSX compatibles etc. Of course, plenty of modern systems running AmigaOS 4, MorphOS and AROS were present as well, plus the likes of Minimig and Turbo Chameleon.

Saku 2014 also got nice publicity. One of the oldest and largest Finnish computer magazines, MikroBitti (now MB), visited and ran an incredible nine page article about the event and Amiga/retro hobby. Skrolli, the latest and hottest computer culture magazine in the land even hosted their own stand. We also had advertisements in several channels beforehand, from local media to the international Amiga Future magazine.
