It's SchnitzelSchnäpper, a screen and windows grabber by Gelb of amigazeux.

That's right. Papyrus Office needs work to be complete. I already bought it 150 euros some years back, so I hope when a new release comes up I will take it with some discount. 8-)

150 euros for an unfinished program is a lot of money. I think I would have been very angry. Is your version usable at all, or so limited that it is not worth trying to use it. What is it that is unfinished for you to consider it NOT "complete"? I had seen some reviews long ago regarding it, but did not bother to read them closely as they were not favorable and I was not interested in an incomplete program at a high price.

It is a shame, as the Amiga and MOS needs a very good Office Suite of programs. I hope this situation changes in the near future.

They should provide the 68k update for MorphOS users until the native update is ready. It would have been a better product if it was an all-in-one installer like Hollywood2 (the real Amiga Anywhere, AROS, MorphOS, Amiga 68k,PowerUp, WarpOS, OS4)

That's what Titan said they will do.

What will be the cost of the updated Papyrus Office for those that do not have a previous version?

Do you sell direct, or must buyers go through a distributor/reseller?

What does the updated version have different from the previous versions?

    Thanks

Nothing... I think, we can forget about Papyrus Office. I use Ubuntu+OO.org 3.0 or Debian+OO.org 2.4.

    > after that I read that the developer's Pegasos was broken and progress was stopped.

The broken Pegasos was not the reason for the progress stop, it rather was supposed to be the reason for lack of a MorphOS native fix. An m68k native fix was supposed to be released nonetheless.

All I can say is I'd like to start coding a spreadsheet app ASAP.

I still have weird connectivity problems, to be fixed next Tuesday and thereafter I'll start looking around about my future MOS dev framework.

There are many factors here, libraries' availability, source c-compiling efficiency, licensing, API accessibility etc. Fortunately I will have pretty much of my spare time devoted on it now.

Do not want to be hung for it, still, but I can say that unless something realy nasty happens, MorphOS will have an Excel-like (simple) application in January 2010. I'll do my best to deliver one about that time, the issue is the features' #.
Was: Mac Mini PPC running MorphOS 2.4
Now: Amiga Forever 2010 with AmiKit and AmigaSYS
Not used: Icaros Desktop 1.2 (reason: no wifi)
    Planned soon: an OS4 system
Shortly then: a MOS notebook (wifi is a must-have)

DiskDoctor, ah that was another thing that Papyrus did: spreadsheets. It was a full program. If you have some programming skills, maybe you could take over Papyrus development instead of coding a new spreadsheet app.

I recall Papyrus as Mac or Mobile Office suite.

I'm thinking of a spreadsheet yet, I like to code in Python, so I pretty much wish to do it on my own. An app is meant to be simple, I/O compatible with MS Excel (xls), also oocalc maybe, simple formulas, possibly graphics, csv/txt import. Also any other MorphOS platform-wise standards as input.

    Phew.. that's the plan.

I will try to benefit from independent (read: non-MS) spreadsheets for Apple:

I planned to write that software two years ago but before I even started, Apple released this:
