    Hi there!

I am selling my PowerMac G5. The Powerbook will be enough for my MorphOS needs.

    Here is the config:

    - PowerPC Dual G5 CPU @2,3GHz
    - 4GB Ram
    - 2x 250 GB SATA Harddisks
    - ATI Radeon 9600XT Graphics Card
    - Airport Extreme + antenna
    - registered MorphOS Key
    - original Apple Keyboard + Mouse

The machine is in optical good condition. No hardware flaws or errors. The fastest machine for MorphOS.

I want 300 Euros + shipping. Worldwide shipping is possible. You can pay with PayPal or bank transfer.

It is the fastest among the non-water cooled ones at least :-)

How much would shipping cost to Sweden?

    @Cego

Good price. I will keep it in mind. I've been looking for a 2.3 GHz as a spare.

I am downgrading to 2.3 myself as I do not trust my 2.7 GHz system's water cooling and do not care to modify it.

I have already sold the 2.7 GHz motherboard and I am about to list the processors and cooler.

I also have a 2.3 GHz PCI-e model on hand in case we are graced with support for those models.

A 2.3 GHz PCI-e G5 with a Radeon X1950XTX video card running MorphOS would be cool.

With all the other work the MorphOS Dev. Team is trying to complete right now, plus the announcement that work has begun on the X64 (or ARM) port of MorphOS, I doubt that they will also have time to complete a port to the PCIe versions of the G5 PowerMac, though, like you, I would like to see it come to pass some day.

Funny bit is that yesterday in IRC I was told that they never announced (or to be exact "promised") that that is going to happen.

That's because an announcement isn't a promise but merely a letter of intent. In US law this is known as https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forward-looking_statement :-)

Yes, very nicely engineered design, great systems for running MorphOS3.9, but terrible power hogs, and heat producers. I will probably use my G5 more often this winter, just to supplement heating of my house. ;-)
